As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, there are many things that make Guiding Eyes for the Blind amazingly special, but this homeboy trained business school accountant is especially awed and impressed with their sensibilities in that GEB receives NO Federal Funding whatsoever.
Given the propensity for corruption, incompetence and twisted strings attached with many Federal programs, I am so proud of GEB Executive and Board of Directors' Leadership that insures a strong, independent culture - just like the dogs they breed and train.
Furthermore, the people who end up with working GEB dogs, approx. $30,000 value, DO NOT PAY - the dogs are provided FREE.
